Uniterra is a volunteer cooperation and international development program that strengthens organizations and networks by pooling expertise and knowledge. Jointly implemented by WUSC and CECI, the Uniterra Program contributes to improving the socio-economic conditions of local communities in 14 countries in Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Asia. Uniterra supports the development of inclusive market systems in order to address the root causes of market failure and to facilitate systemic changes. To do so, Uniterra works in specific product and service sub-sectors to in order to enable 5.6 million women and youth from poor and marginalized communities to improve their economic and social well-being. Uniterra prioritizes local ownership of results through working in partnership with strategically placed local partners to improve the quality and relevance of services, and facilitate access to economic opportunities for women and youth.
Trias was established in Ghana in 2008 and started to support the Rural Banking sector in the three regions in Northern Ghana. Trias has chosen to work through local partners in order to reach the beneficiaries. These partners currently range from micro-finance institutions (MFI’s), local NGO’s and non-financial service providers, and member-based organizations of farmers and entrepreneurs. Trias is currently collaborating and supporting fifteen Rural and Community Banks in the Northern Savannah Ecological Zone (NSEZ).
The overall objective of Trias is to ensure that "the livelihood security of small entrepreneurs and farm families and the active participation in processes of local economic development is enhanced in a sustainable way." Trias is looking for a Communication Officer to support in documenting successes of its partners to attract credit for their businesses.
Capture success/significant stories on the project for publication. Update Trias Ghana website. Develop marketing and fundraising strategies for Trias Ghana Write regular progress and activity reports on the project. Help develop marketing strategies for the organization Promote the equal participation and representation of women and men in all programme activities QUALIFICATIONS
Degree level studies in Communication studies or Project Management or relevant study in the Social Sciences. Experience in report writing and/or publications. Social Sciences. Open-minded, resourceful and adaptable. Able to adapt to different culture Good communicator
